These orifices are meant to allow for higher or lower flow machines. They will more accurately accommodate a machine requiring a larger orifice which is estimated in the ranges of flow exceeding 4 gallons per minute. The purpose of a larger orifice is to allow more water to pass through which decreases restriction and may eliminate pulsation of your machine.
